Science

Cool Science Happens Here!

AP Biology students produced micro-graphs of plant stem cross sections.

They used micro-tomes to slice paper thin cross sections. The cross sections were treated with ethanol and blue toluidine buffer solution.

They made slides of the specimens using glycerol and then used light microscopes to magnify the specimens 40 to 100 times.

This micro-graph was produced by Justin Loman.
